Tragic Scenes as Entertainment? Did Amazon Prime Show "The Feed" Go to Far?

It's a predictable future, with some fantastic unpredictable details. The show is featured in "our" social media future. Facebook is called the FEED and they are run by a family that is basically the new Rockefellers.

They use real life tragic footage to fake tragedy where the users loose control of their feeds.
