Exopsure I and II by Taylor Allen, The Line Between Reality and What We are Able to Make of it.

Taylor Allen is a photographer out of New Jersey. These photos come from a group he's doing called exposure. It blends portraits with the background that is always an a trip to an transcendental element. Photography like all art is a sometimes a game of duality. There is the image seen, and then there is a body of perception, the trick is to find a balance between the two.

Modern art, is obvious, or better termed 'aware'. Right away the Allen deciders to take full control of the perception of his subject, by including through exposure, a secondary level. The result is a work that is moving, almost literally, like a line has been drawn from where we stand in society to where awareness and consciousness supersede it all.
